Season 2022/23 starts a new era. We are moving away from MyCricket to PlayHQ and, next year, our old website (did you know we had a website?) will be shut down forever. So it is time to move to a new space.
This website is far more functional than the last one, with the ability to do blog posts like this one, a direct link to our registration page in PlayHQ and all the draws, ladders and so on all in one place.
With this new website, we are going to move away from using FB as central news site and move over here. FB is not inclusive - not everyone has it; some don't want to be on it, but sign up with a new account every season so they can stay in touch with the club. This website will be accessible to all.
As we explore functionality, we will start posting events, like training, social occasions and special fundraising days here. FB will remain a social hub, where members can post memes, photos and anything else they wish to share. This website will be for events, team news, registrations and, hopefully, match reports.
With Paska's new text messaging system and availability system (which we will move over to this site in time), Canberra City Cricket Club will be a more dynamic and modern club. I am very excited to see how this goes.
